The Crescent City Coin Club since 1960.
The Crescent City Coin Club was incorporated as a non-profit organization on November 15th, 1962. Crescent City is a nickname for New Orleans that comes from the shape of the Mississippi River as it passes through the city forming a crescent, giving the name to the club.

The coin club gives an outlet to become invested in numismatic information and fellowship of collectors. The club’s members knowledge is very large from coins, currency, medals, tokens, Mardi Gras Doubloons and other topics.
Numismatic programs are held at the monthly meetings. In addition to the programs there is a member door prize, auctions, and socialization.
The club sponsors local coins shows though out the year. Besides the local coin shows the club has hosted past shows in other cities including Hammond, Houma, and Lafite. The club also hosted the National Money Show in 2013.
